Does Gender Equality Influence Climate Change in Emerging Market Economies?

چکیده
This study examines the role of gender equality in CO 2 emissions for a panel six emerging market economies over period 1990-2019. The results cointegration and causality analysis reveal that income inequality, economic growth energy consumption contribute to environmental degradation, while helps reduce it. Though Kuznets’ hypothesis is confirmed, promoting on natural environment nullified presence inequality growth.
